The Social Health X Foundation (SHX), based in Chatham, NJ, is a global organization committed to improving healthcare. Founded in 2023, SHX drives change through dialogue, leadership, and action to help solve the important healthcare delivery challenges facing the United States and the world. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, SHX is nonpartisan and does not endorse, support, or oppose political candidates or parties. Joseph Luzi

Trustee

Joe is an accomplished pharmaceutical, technology, and healthcare executive focused on research-based solutions, public and HCP training and education initiatives. He founded his latest company, Social Health Research (SHR), on the premise that every American deserves a chance to be as healthy as possible. Joe's vision for SHR combines community engagement, research, data analysis, technology, and innovation to define unmet needs and create efficient bespoke solutions.

Joe has founded three other successful pharmaceutical, consulting, and data and technology companies, including Advanced Health Media. He began that grassroots start-up in a spare bedroom of his partner's house and turned it into a $450M enterprise. His ability to craft solutions, motivate teams, and create effective management processes has resulted in successful partnerships with dozens of medical device and bio-pharma companies, including 18 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies.

Vicky Que

Trustee

Vicky is an award-winning medical science journalist and editor who has worked in several mediums. With over 30 years of experience, she has honed her “superpower,” breaking down complicated science information for lay audiences. Vicky is passionate about using her skills to increase health education and awareness and telling Americans about cutting-edge treatments that provide hope to patients with unmet needs.

Berkat Bhatti

Trustee

Berkat Bhatti is a Mobile Software Engineer with a distinguished career spanning over a decade. A proud graduate of Rutgers University, Berkat has dedicated the last ten years to developing innovative mobile applications, establishing himself as a leader in the field. Over the past five years, he has honed an expertise in Data  Science and  Artificial Intelligence, with a particular focus on Computer Vision. Berkat remains a student in this cutting-edge field  and has driven advancements in various applications. His deep technical knowledge, combined with his commitment to leveraging AI for practical solutions, makes him a standout professional in a developing industry. 

Katherine Powell

Trustee

Katherine Powell is an experienced leader in the pharmaceutical and bioscience industry with expertise in operations, projects, and account management. She has extensive success in the pharmaceutical speaker bureau management sector, managing and maintaining client relations with large, multinational companies. Clients supported include industry leaders: Merck, Bristol Myers Squibb, GSK, Pfizer, and Gilead Sciences.

Her expertise includes but is not limited to medical education logistical planning, speaker bureau and Key Opinion Leader (including Super Influencer) management, and meeting planning. She provides outstanding customer service to medical professionals for scheduling, travel coordination, logistical support, and contract management; proficiency in the utilization of the speaker bureau system for online event registration, venue selection, event management, mobile apps for events, e-mail marketing, and web surveys.

Sunita Mookerjee

Trustee

Sunita Mookerjee has been working in the field of health program development to improve healthcare access to quality care for over 20 years.  Her expertise in community health development  and delivery spans diverse communities and addresses challenges to health care access both in the United States and globally. Sunita has trained in group healthcare programs, including Centering Group Care and Self-Management group care to improve health care programs.

In addition to domestic US health programs, Sunita  has worked as an Advisory Healthcare Consultant for Health Projects in India and in low income communities in the US. Her global community work helps promote innovative health care programs, reduce maternal morbidity, decrease and prevent prematurity, infant mortality, TB, HIV/AIDS and other burdens of global health challenges. Sunita has also been involved with the South Asian Mental Health Association, to provide awareness and educational services on mental health and wellness. With a passion for constant learning, Sunita has an MPH from New York Medical College and is currently working towards developing skills to further  her work in the use of mobile technology in health education.

Younniaa Williams

Trustee

Younniaa Williams is the co-founder of Pugh & Payne, LLC, an all women firm that invented the glare reduction shield (GRS) for digital thermometers during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. This patented product increases the time saved, critical for communities that are medically underserved. 

Pugh &  Payne aims to continue this story by bringing a humanizing voice for healthcare into the Black community to raise vaccination rates and create a strong connection between the physician and the Black family. Younniaa has a passion for patient-centric communications and engaging with key stakeholders, including the media, to amplify awareness and understanding in disease areas where there is a significant unmet need while acknowledging and navigating the sensitivities of our complex healthcare system. In previous roles, Younniaa was the Director of Accounts, where she managed both U.S. and Global accounts for Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Janssen, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca.
